Slide Lisbon & Venue info

Lisbon is blessed with historic monuments, world-class museums and a vast transport network.

In the last decade, the Portuguese capital has taken significant steps to improve urban mobility. A clear sign of the city’s increased visibility was the awarding of the European Commission’s European Green Capital Award for 2020. Lisbon was considered “an inspiration and role-model for cities across the EU, demonstrating clearly that sustainability and economic growth go hand in hand.”

With the airport just a few minutes from the centre of the city, stations with international rail links and various ports for cruise ships, there are many options to arrive in the capital of Portugal. The city is closer than you think:

Lisbon is just 3 hours away from the main European capitals and the airport is just 7 km from the centre of the city. Lisbon is well connected to major International airports worldwide

National and international trains arrive every day at Santa Apolónia station, which is very close to all the traditional neighbourhoods and Terreiro do Paço.

By ship, it is possible to find a dock at Alcântara, Rocha Conde de Óbidos or Santa Apolónia. If you arrive by yacht, there are several marinas as you sail up the river.

The best ways to enter Lisbon are via the A1 and A2, which both have national and international connections along their course.

Lisbon is grounded in the present, yet looks to the future, having signed the Corporate Mobility Pact (CMP), which aims to implement over 200 mobility actions for more sustainable mobility. Next year, you will get to know more about Lisbon’s urban development strategy and its contribution to a more sustainable mobility!
