Register yourself for the conference and purchase your ticket.
Purchase tickets for groups of ten (10) people or more at the group registration rate.
Purchase tickets that you can give as a gift or assign to another person. You will receive a registration code for each ticket.
Registration is required for all TRA 2020 attendees. All speakers (plenary / keynote, presenting author, strategic session, invited session), reviewers, exhibitors and sponsors will receive a link to a special registration form. They will not register via the public registration form.
Conference registration includes:
- Access to all conference sessions
- Access to the exhibition and demonstration area
- Access to the poster area
- Access to the welcoming and closing ceremonies
- Access to the networking area
- Access to the technical tours (number of participants per tour is limited)
- Access to social events (TRA Party tickets for an additional fee)
- Lunch and coffee breaks (at the conference centre in the designated areas)
- Personal virtual conference bag
Payment is possible by credit card only (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard). The payment service provider is Paytrail Plc. Groups may also pay the registration by bank transfer.
The delegate must have an individual registration code to benefit from possible reduced fees.
Students (under 35 years) and young researchers are required to fill in the Certificate / ID Submission Form to prove that they are eligible. After verification, the delegate will receive an individual registration code by email in order to register for the conference with a reduced fee.

Information about the individual rates
Presenting author, technical paper or poster
Presenting author can register in this category if they are a presenting authors of a technical paper or poster. Only one author per paper can register in this category. Co-authors of technical papers have to choose other options (for example, “Regular” or “Student”). Special registration codes and a link to a special registration form have been sent to all presenting authors. Please note that the deadline for registration is 30 January 2020!
Reviewers are appointed by the TRA Programme Committee and can register in this category. They have received a special registration code and a link to a special registration form.
Plenary / keynote speakers, strategic session speakers, special invited guests
Plenary / keynote speakers, strategic session speakers and special invited guests will receive registration codes and a link to a special registration form to benefit from applicable fees.
Invited session speakers
Invited session speakers register at a regular fee and will receive a link to a special registration form.
Student (under 35 years)
Registrated under the student fee, the delegate enjoys the same entitlements as a regular conference delegate. For registration with the student fee, the delegate is required to submit a scanned copy of a valid student ID (clearly reflecting the student’s name and institution and age) or official proof of enrolment from the institution. The delegate must upload the document in advance in order to receive an individual registration code. The submitted documents must be in English or Finnish.
Registrated under the young researcher fee, the delegate enjoys the same entitlements as a regular conference delegate. Delegates can register as young researchers if they are currently engaged in academic research by either pursuing their first PhD or having received their first PhD no earlier than 31 December 2015. For registration with the young researcher fee, the Delegate is required to submit a scanned copy of an official proof of enrolment from the institution or a scanned copy of the PhD certificate. The delegate must upload the document in advance in order to receive an individual registration code. The submitted documents must be in English or Finnish.
Exhibitor and sponsor
Each organisation having booked exhibiting space at the TRA2020 will receive conference passes (one per 10m² purchased) to the conference. Each organisation will be given registration codes in advance based on the amount of square metres purchased.
Registration for exhibitors and sponsors is now open. All exhibitors and sponsors will receive instructions on how to register.
Registration for media representatives will open in January 2020.
ERC / MSCA beneficiaries
If the delegate is currently holding an ERC grant and they will present a grant at TRA 2020 as part of their dissemination activity, the delegate may charge their travel, subsistence, accommodation costs, as well as the conference fees to their ERC grant, in line with the general cost eligibility criteria foreseen by the grant agreement.
If the delegate currently holds an MSCA fellowship and would like to attend the event, the delegate could ask their supervisor to provide funding from the contribution of the MSCA grant to research, training, and networking costs. This could be used to pay their travel, subsistence and accommodation costs and the conference fees.
Groups of ten (10) people or more can purchase tickets with the group registration fee. After the full payment has been made, the group manager will receive a registration code which should be forwarded to all members of the group. The group members must all individually register through the conference registration system using the registration code. Group registration fees are applicable only to registrations of ten (10) people or more. In case of cancellations, the number of registrations must always remain ten (10) or more. Group members can only be regular delegates.
You can purchase a maximum of 9 regular 4-day tickets, which you can send as a gift or assign to another person. After the full payment has been made, you will receive registration instructions and a registration code which should be forwarded to those you have bought the ticket/tickets for. The person receiving the ticket must register through the conference registration system using the registration code.
Technical tours are complementary programme items of the TRA2020 conference programme. The tours are visits organised in the nearby regions of the TRA2020, which showcase various mobility solutions in their authentic settings. Tour participation is free of charge and limited for TRA2020 conference delegates. Registration for the tours is available in the registration system and the number of participants per tour is limited.
A one-day (1) pass is sufficient for booking technical tours on the day the pass is valid.
