In the Heart of Europe
Few places capture the spirit of Europe like Budapest — a city where history, culture, and innovation meet on the banks of the Danube. With its strategic position bridging East and West, Budapest has long been a center of commerce, science, and creativity.
Today, the Hungarian capital is emerging as one of Europe’s most exciting hubs for transport research and technological innovation. Hungary’s strong academic foundations, engineering excellence, and growing start-up ecosystem make it the perfect host for TRA 2026.
Easy to Reach
Budapest is easily accessible from nearly every European capital by direct flights and rail connections. The Liszt Ferenc International Airport connects the city to over 120 destinations worldwide, while efficient public transportation — metro, trams, and buses — ensures smooth travel within the city.
The TRA 2026 venue, Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre, is just a short ride from the city center, conveniently linked by metro and shuttle services during the event.
Discover the City
Beyond the conference, Budapest offers an unforgettable experience.
Explore its UNESCO World Heritage landmarks, soak in the historic thermal baths, and enjoy a vibrant mix of classical architecture, cutting-edge design, and world-renowned gastronomy.
Stroll along the Danube Promenade, cross the iconic Chain Bridge, or discover the creative pulse of local districts filled with cafés, galleries, and cultural events.
Whether you’re networking at the conference or relaxing after a busy day, Budapest is the perfect setting to connect, explore, and be inspired.
