Community and Expertise
The TRA 2026 committees bring together experts from across Europe, reflecting the full spectrum of the transport research and innovation community. Members represent every mode of transport — road, rail, waterborne, and air — as well as leading institutions from both the public and private sectors. Their combined knowledge ensures that the conference captures the latest insights, trends, and perspectives shaping the future of mobility.
The Management Committee consists of high-level representatives from relevant technology platforms and the European Commission. Mainly it is responsible for making final decisions concerning various organizational matters, such as the budget, the venue or the final list of plenary speakers. Moreover, due to the members’ long-standing experience in previous TRA conferences they provide essential professional support during the organization. Through their network of contacts, the Committee provides outstanding support in reaching out to speakers, visitors, and potential sponsors.
The Program Committee consists of distinguished academics, industry leaders, and technological platform representatives, who create the scientific content of the conference. They define the conference topics, design the call for papers, oversee the review process, define the content of the strategic and special sessions, and plan the technical program across all fields of transport.
