Margarida Marques has served as European Coordinator of the Rhine-Danube Transport Corridor since September 2025, overseeing the key east-west link from German ports through Central and Eastern Europe to the Black Sea region. She was a Member of the European Parliament (2019–2024), vice-chair of the Budget Committee, and co-negotiator of the 2021–2027 Multiannual Financial Framework. She also served as a Portuguese Member of Parliament and State Secretary for EU Affairs.
