József Attila Szilvai is a multidisciplinary expert, holding degrees in IT engineering and economics, with deep expertise in civil engineering. In June 2015, he was appointed Chief Technology Officer (Deputy CEO for Technical Affairs) of Hungarian Public Roads, and in October 2017, he became Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO, he has prioritized strengthening the organization’s international presence and fostering knowledge exchange across borders. Furthermore, recognizing early the necessity of digital transformation, he has spearheaded the end-to-end digital transformation of road management operations. Developments under his leadership increasingly rely on digital technologies and intelligent transport solutions to meet evolving user expectations, including real-time information and proactive traffic control. He remains dedicated to advancing innovation, strengthening international collaboration, and adapting global best practices to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of road transport.
