András Munkácsy is a senior researcher and head of the Transport Development Department at the Institute for Transport Sciences (KTI) in Hungary. His main research interests include travel behaviour and mobility management. He is active in several Hungarian public bodies and European professional associations, holding various roles, including chair of the Transport and Mobility Forum of the Association for European Transport (AET), member of the Board of FEHRL, member of the Transportation and Vehicle Science Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and chair of the Passenger Transport Section of the Hungarian Society for Transport Sciences. He also serves as head of the National SUMP Contact Point in Hungary. He has been the project manager on behalf of KTI, the lead partner of the TRA2026 Horizon Europe project supporting the organisation of the present edition of the Transport Research Arena.
